the top down view really brings out the shape and detail of this flower - the dark background and center add a great sense of depth. I wonder if cropping this to a square would make a better presentation? Beautiful image either way.

Hi, Stewart ! A beautiful macro, with this dark background...Like you, I shot a series of macros of this fantastic flower, with a delicate perfume, on july 19 which lasts only one day…
This is an Echinopsis multiplex, known as "Easter lily cactus"... One of my pics tomorrow.
